The Show

WAITIN' SINCE LAST SATURDAY PODCAST

The Waitin' Since Last Saturday Podcast was founded in June 2015 at Grindhouse Burgers in Athens, Georgia. Legend has it that the guys were sitting around the bar, watching the 2015 World Cup when Tony and Scott threw out the idea of starting a podcast where they could talk about Georgia football, basketball and whatever else came to mind.

Will casually said, "I'd do a podcast with you guys". It didn't take long for Tony to quickly look at Scott and say, "Okay, we are so doing this". It was quite easy and after very little planning, and choosing a name for the show, the first episode of the WSLS Podcast launched in August of 2015.

That first year, the guys covered the ousting of Mark Richt as head coach of Georgia, and the dawning of the new Kirby Smart era in Athens. 2016 was when Scott, Will and Tony really hit their stride in broadcasting a show, developing their roles and expanding their podcast's reach. It was a bit of a downer year for the football team going 8-5, including a bowl victory over TCU in the Liberty Bowl, but that did not deter them one bit.

The podcast hit its peak about at the same time that Georgia's magical 2017 season took off. Frequency of shows were up as were downloads. Will and Tony attended the 2017 SEC Championship victory over Auburn and Tony even found his way out to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl victory over Oklahoma.

Now, entering their 7th season, with many high expectations for Georgia in 2021 and a stacked schedule, the content should really - just write itself.

If you're looking for fun, insightful commentary, a perfect amount of homerism with a touch of grounded reality, this is the podcast for you.
